Career Transitions & Outplacement
When
positions are eliminated, the individuals often suffer
some emotional upset. If
you are responsible for finding an organization
to help these individuals with the transition process, D&B Consulting, Inc. uses well trained professonals to provide the individual attention employees need to make the transition
to a new job as
quickly as possible. In addition, the skills they learn
from working with us they will use the rest of their
life as they continue to develop their careers.
You
can chose from three month, six month or twelve month
programs.
All
programs include:
- Initial
meeting focused on getting background information from
client, discussing client issues regarding the layoff,
answering questions and reviewing the program. We set
specific goals and objectives.
- Client
takes three career tests on line that take approximately
1.5 hours to complete.

- Coach
reviews and interprets the tests with the client.
- Client
completes exercises to help develop focus.
- Coach
helps client to set priorities, achieve focus and identify
options.
- Coach
and client develop job search plan. This includes identifying
firms and companies that may be interested in the client,
contacting recruiters, networking, and any other appropriate
activities that may help client secure employment as quickly
as possible,
- Coach
helps to prepare client resume.
- Client
executes job search plan, with help from coach, through
in person appointments, telephone conferences and the strategic
use of email.
- Coach
helps client prepare for interviews.
- Coach
reviews employment offer(s) with client and helps with
the compensation negotiation process.
- Activities
take place over a three, six or twelve months, depending
on the program period.
